An Australian native, Wood Surf Co. (a subsidiary of Wooden Anchor) is founded by Industrial Designer Dana Watson and Craftsman Andy Ceglinski (Wooden Anchor). The business is operated out of the Wooden Anchor workshop & timber mill in the hills of Byron Bay.
This closed loop seed-to-surfboard operation are pushing towards an ethically responsible approach to surfboard building, hand in hand with some of Australia’s best shapers and environmentally progressive individuals by emphasising the use of responsibly sourced local plantation timbers, natural fibre board strengthening weaves, low VOC bio-resins, natural finishing waxes/oils and are committed to promote native rainforest regrowth and biodiversity.
The company make traditional & performance surfboards, Alaias, Paipos, DIY board building kits, and surf accessories. Also providing 1, 2 or 3 day hands on workshops to help you make your very own Paipo, Alaia or hollow core surfboard.
